Quick Update
For those that are new to Body Evolution I wanted to give you a more extensive ‘About Me’ post. If you do know me and Body Evolution scroll down to the paragraph that begins with, ‘Since selling the gym.’
My background in fitness is fairly extensive, as it should be, because I’ve been in the fitness industry for just under twenty years. My first Bachelor’s Degree is in Exercise Science from Indiana University where I initially intended on going into Physical Therapy and also had a brief stint as a Strength Coach intern for the Varsity teams there. I quickly realized both professions didn’t suit me. Upon graduating I joined a private Personal Training facility on the northside of Indy where I worked for seven years following graduation.
In 2013, I felt that it was my time to move on and ventured out to start my own business. That was the very first iteration of Body Evolution. I was initially in a 1600 sq ft. facility in Zionsville offering only Personal Training. After two years there I moved the business to a bigger location right on the Monon Trail in Carmel. At the new location I started offering boot camp and endurance training and this is where I met Amber. Amber took part in my boot camp as well as having me train her to her first marathon. In 2016, I actually planned on closing the business and attempting nursing school but Amber offered me a chance to open a CrossFit in Fishers.
Body Evolution CrossFit opened its doors in May of 2017 taking over a 5000 sq ft facility that had never been used before. For five years we cultivated a family atmosphere and developed wonderful lifelong friendships. In 2022 with our family growing and my decision to attend Nursing School full time Amber and I sold our gym.
Since selling the gym, Amber and I have continued to exercise probably more so than when we owned the gym. We kept the SugarWOD account open so that we could record our scores (and make every picture a picture of Brady). Personally, when I owned the gym I would work out anywhere from 1 time per week during stressful times to 4 times per week when things were running smoothly to now I workout consistently 5 times per week. Not only have we been working out more consistently but I’ve focused on diet and healthy supplements, gaining 5-7 pounds of muscle.
During the summer our schedule was hectic with Amber working full time and me in school trying to complete my entire Sophomore year of nursing school in one summer. I’m absolutely loving nursing school, but now that the fall semester has begun I’ve found myself with more free time. With my free time I recently started a PRN position in the ICU as a Student Nurse Tech and have decided to offer training services online. I’m very proud to say Body Evolution is back in full force!
With my lighter schedule I’ve also decided to sign up for ANOTHER 70.3 Ironman. This time in Des Moines (I try to pick new places every time). I encourage you to follow along with my journey as I try to gain as much strength as possible until February when my race training begins. Hopefully you’ll see me get bigger and stronger before getting leaner and put up my best time ever at the 70.3 in June. Ask any questions you have about my training, your training, diet, supplements, and everything in between. E-mail me here or find me on social media @bodyevolutioncoach.
